Life always throw curveballs, and they are not always small either. This past month, I have been thrown a ton of those balls. I cannot say that all of curves were welcomed, but they are part of life and I have to accept them. Up, down, left or right, or straight, we are given these options every day of our life, and we have to choose what we think is the best choice. The path that you choose to take is totally up to you. You can ask advice from friends, parents, other adults, or even a therapist, but no one knows yourself better than you.
I hate curveballs, they can be the worst things ever, but without them, would we be who we are today? I have learned to take each day with a new outlook. No matter what happened the night before, last week, or last year, that is the past. Keep the past in the back of your mind and only revisit if it is good memories. You cannot change anything that happened, such as kissing the wrong person, not going out with friends, not visiting your grandparents enough. What you can do is change your future. Your future is up to you, spend more time with friends and family, be more careful who you kiss, etc. One thing I have learned, no matter how hard something becomes never give up. You do not know what is "around the riverbend." Yes, I did just quote Pocahontas!
Sadly, you will not always get what you want out of every situation. I have learned that so much this past month. Sometimes we get something better in the situation or maybe (hopefully not) it ends even worse than we thought it would. Everyday has a lesson planned, but we do not always realize it. Each person you meet will teach you a lesson whether good or bad.
Take it from me (blog message): Take each and every single day as a lesson to be learned. Just like in school we are taught something new everyday and life is just like that. Learn from mistakes, be willing to learn something, and lastly be a friend.
