Well it is 3 full days away before it is 2016, but it is crazy how soon it will be here. All you see on Facebook now, is pictures and status posts about New Years Resolutions. Last year I made a blog post about how I wanted to accomplish things and I did not really accomplish them. Surprised? No? Me either, but that is okay. Here were last year's goals:
1. Just like everyone else...lose weight and get ready for a possible vacation in the summer. ( I did lose 20 pounds, but that is it.)
2. Grow in my faith with God...I have been slacking when it comes to my faith and I need to do better. (I did grow in my faith, but now I am slacking again.)
3. Spend more time with family/friends. (I did a little better about this, but not the greatest.)
4. Get better at saving money. (hahaha, nope still sucked! I did do good on saving money for vacation though. I guess that counts somewhat.)
5. Grow my photography business. (My photography business did grow a lot this year, and I hope to grow it even more this upcoming year.)
For 2016, I am not going to do the whole resolution thing. My main goal for 2016 is to be happy. Life has really been sucking this past year and I am not where I want to be. I really want to learn how to be happy again and not let things to get to me so much. I have to learn that in order to be happy it changes within myself. Material things can make you happy for a few seconds, but that is it. Friends are a great way to uplift the mood, but if you are like me as soon as I get home it is back down in the dumps again. As a hospitality major one of things that my teacher taught me is that, you have to be a smiling person.
To end this post here is a picture that goes right along with what I said.
Have a great New Years Eve and New Years! Be safe!!
