Heyy butterflies,
Finals week is upon us well atleast at my university. I definitely dread this week mostly because it feels like your brain could explode. This week I have four tests and that is enough for me, especially since two of them are over the whole semester. One more test tomorrow and I am done with this semester and hello summer break!!! (wait, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, there that is better). Here are some tips to help you get through finals week
1. Starbucks, Starbucks and oh yeah Starbucks!! Seriously after my tests I have Starbucks and I feel so much better. If you do not like Starbucks, some kind of caffeine can help wake you up and keep you going.
2. Study, as much as you can. Make those brain cells retain as much information possible.
3. Get plenty of sleep. I know, I know, typical doctor request. Really though, enough sleep does make a difference.
4. Limit all distractions, yes this includes putting away the cell phone. Distractions will not help you get that A, so cell phones, television and even people can and will keep you from getting good grades. Music or a study buddy is okay though especially if it helps you remember what you are studying.
5. Take your time on the test especially if the questions are difficult. One of my biggest problems when taking tests, is when a bunch of students start turning in their tests because I start to worry about time and it is a huge distraction for me.
6. Take a deep breath and do not worry! Now if only I could take my own advice.
I wish all of you the best of luck on your tests and aim for the best!!
